“Translation of names in Ifa/Orisa tradition has done great havoc to the development of the tradition. When people translate the Orisa/Irunmole to god or goddess, the impression disseminating out is that the Orisa/Irunmole is a small god/goddess lesser than the angels/prophets/messengers of other world religions/traditions. Let people stop translating the names of the Orisa/Irunmole. Ogun is Ogun, Oya is Oya, Osun is Osun and Sango is Sango.”
