Greetings in OLODUMARE,
As we head into this coming IFA New Year celebrations I want to wish all IFA and ORISA adherents and initiates a happy and blessed New Year. I want to say thank you to our Ancestors, to the Elders of our lineage, and Elders of all lineages. Thank you to my Oluwo, my Ojugbona, and my Iyanifa, as well a large thank you tas all of those who have helped to initaite and train me. Thank you to all who have supported or contributed to Oyeku Ofun Temple in any way, shape, or form. Also to all those who continue to follow our online postings and share and like. And to all adherents across the globe who keep the traditions and practices of our Ancestors alive and well. May we all see blessings in OLODUMARE this coming year. May we all be healthy and see next ODUN IFA in 2019. Thank you to IFA, the ORISA, and our ANCESTORS, who have been blessing, guiding, and protecting us this past year. May the ORISA continue to shower blessings on us all. ASE O
I want to share this observation as we head into the New Year — after almost a decade of practicing IFA and ORISA, I have observed that there are major problems with lack of respect, lack of gratitude, and lack of loyalty amongst many devotees that are impediments for many in their own growth, development, and ultimately barriers to their success and their destined blessings in life.
IFA says that respect and gratitude will lead to blessings. IFA says that loyalty will lead to blessings. IFA says that those who receive benevolence but who are ungrateful for it will not receive such benevolence in the future. On this ODU IFA OBARAIRETE says:
The vulture consumed the sacrificial materials
The vulture refused to thank the one who offered the sacrifice the next day
“Thank you for yesterday” is the profit of benevolence
This was the declaration of IFA to Aina Kekeeke
The offspring of multiple generations
IFA, I am grateful for the money you gave me yesterday
OBARAIRETE
IFA, I thank you very much
IFA, I am grateful for the spouse you gave me yesterday
OBARAIRETE
IFA, I thank you very much
IFA, I am grateful for the children you gave me yesterday
OBARAIRETE
IFA, I thank you very much
IFA, I am grateful for the peace you gave me yesterday
OBARAIRETE
IFA, I thank you very much
IFA, I am grateful for all the blessings you gave me yesterday
OBARAIRETE
IFA, I thank you very much
May we all continue to show respect and gratitude to IFA and the ORISA for all the blessings of yesterday. (ASE) May we continue to see blessings tomorrow. (ASE)
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! IRE O
May Olodumare guide us and protect us. Ase O
