IFA says on this Itadogun that we will see blessings of longevity. IFA says that we must not abandon the traditions of our forefathers. IFA says that we must not forget about EGUNGUN (Ancestors). On this IFA says we should all be making offerings to EGUNGUN with alcohol (gin/rum/etc), cool water, and food stuffs this Itadogun.
On this IFA says:

This Itadogun, IFA says that we will see blessings of a long life. IFA says that we must all be making Ipese, offerings to appease the Elders of the Night.
On this IFA says:
It is as heavy as lead
Even with the rainstorm, the Witches are never disturbed
Orunmila was the only Irunmole who made covenant with the Witches at the beginning of time
When the Witches were coming to Earth from the Spirit World
Orunmila said, “Where are you going?”
They said they were going to Earth
Orunmila asked, “What are your missions there?”
The Witches said they were going there to wreak havoc
And to cause more problems
For those who have problems
Orunmila told them to go back to the Spirit World
They appealed to Orunmila not to send them back
Orunmila told them that his children are many on Earth
I, Fagbemijo Amosun Fakayode, am a child of Orunmila
The Witches suggested a covenant with Orunmila
That day they swore an oath before Orunmila
And promised that whenever they came across someone who has taken the oath (a child of Orunmila)
They will never bother this person
Orunmila said, “I have heard your promise and it is noted”
He said, “What if any one of you refuses to abide by this oath?”
They said, “Should any Witch refuse to abide this oath”
They said, “Slippery substance will make such a person slip into the realm-of-no-return”
They said, “Fish cannot survive outside of water”
They said, “Snail dies the moment it touches salt”…

On this Itadogun day, IFA speaks to us on the blessings of longevity. IFA says that we should all be making an offering so we will experience a long life this time around. IFA says that we should offer 2 hand fans to ESU ODARA and we should give money to those in need. On this IFA says:

Cast IFA for Ikuyeba, Death-ducks-sideways
Child of Agunnare
On the day he was crying because of all good things
He was asked to perform sacrifice
He then performed the sacrifice
He sacrificed a hand fan
He thereafter started dancing around town
This is what ESU devotees carrying hand fans do till date

He is taken care of with good money

This Itadogun IFA warns us about untimely death. IFA says that we should all be appeasing ESU ODARA (ESHU) with three bananas and plenty of coconut oil to overcome potential of untimely death. Also we should all be truthful and not telling any lies this Itadogun period. (Ebo: 3 bananas and plenty of coconut oil to ESU)
On this IFA says:
The gentle breeze blows the Iroko leaves
The whirlwind is it that blows the coconut leaves turbulently
Please, inform the gentle breeze
To stop blowing the Iroko leaves
Also inform the whirlwind
To stop blowing the coconut leaves turbulently
And to stop blowing the Iroko leaves back and forth
These were Ifa’s declarations for Olomo Ojoro, the Rainfall
Declared same for Ojomagiiri-Eta, the Torrent
And were also declared for Otito-o-nipekin, Truth-is-limitless
When they were coming from heaven to earth
They were advised to offer ebo
It was only Truth that complied
Truth was the only one who offered ebo and was blessed with limitless followership

This Itadogun, IFA says that we will see ire aiku (blessings of longevity). IFA says that we should all be appeasing the spirits of our Ancestors (EGUNGUN) with plenty of liquor. On this IFA says:
Daylight will not endure beyond its usual time
Night will not stay beyond its regular limit
He who provides a pair of sandals for a child’s feet
These are the one’s who cast IFA for Baalejo
Who was coming from the Heavens to Earth

If we have a problem, we should take it to our Ancestors
He will protect us
Our paternal Ancestors will protect us
She will protect us
Our maternal Ancestors will protect us
They will protect us
Our IKIN IFA will protect us
It will surely protect us
Our ORI will protect us

This Itadogun, IFA warns us against untimely death. IFA says that we should all be appeasing EGBE ORUN with white beans as well as other food stuff including sweets, and cool water. IFA says that it will be our companions in Orun (EGBE) who will come to our rescue.

 

On this IFA says:
Little children use their eyes as lamp in darkness
Casts divination for Egbe
Egbe was coming from heaven to the earth
He was asked to offer sacrifice
A group of Egbe  was coming from heaven to the earth
When they slept
Their sleep would be full of nightmares
They would see their mates in heaven
There were told to take care of their Egbe
They wished them a lot of good things
They told them that if they slept here
They would be dreaming about the ones in heaven
On waking from the sleep
They would be seeing the ones here
They told them to get Èkuru funfun
So that the heavenly mates would have to eat
You would have rest, they told them
They then offered the sacrifice
They had rest
And therefore created Associations
And named it an Associations on earth
It is the Association in heaven that would protect the
sanctity of the one on earth
They then started to dance and rejoice
They were praising their Babaláwo
Their Babaláwo was praising lfa
They said it was exactly as their Babaláwo predicted
 It is little children that uses their eyes as lamp in darkness

Egbe was coming from heaven to the earth
He was asked to take care of the ground
And offer sacrifice
Please don’t let us be dishonored
Rather, for the Association on earth to be dishonored

This Itadogun, IFA says we will see reason to celebrate all IRE (Blessings) of life. IFA says that we should all be making an offering to ORUNMILA with one kola nut (obi abata) and plenty of gin/liquor (oti). On this IFA says:

He became very successful
But for the inhabitants of his previous city

They would all say “let Olumejo return”
